Preacher's Fellowship

Today my church hosted our annual Preacher's Fellowship. (It happens every month, just at different churches. We have hosted the month of July for quite some time.) I had the opportunity to sing while I was there, and let me tell you that Baptist preachers are a tough, tough, tough crowd. Especially those that are very traditional minded and like the "old stuff". I sang a more contemporary song and didn't get a great reaction from the crowd. I have to say that I was quite bummed. After thinking about the reason why I sang, my spirits became more uplifted. I realized that I was there to sing and praise the Lord, not to please the preachers that were there. This will not keep me from continuing to sing and praise the Lord!
