While reading about Paul in Acts chapter 21, I realized a great deal. Never compromise your beliefs in order to appease people. It will always end in failure. During his last visit to Jerusalem, Paul ended up taking part in things that he knew was against what he believed. This decision did not change Paul's fate of becoming a prisoner.
I take this message to heart as I leave in the morning to embark on this exciting opportunity to serve the Lord. I pray that no matter who I talk to, what information is given, or advise spoken, that I will not compromise my beliefs and reasons for doing what I am doing. I pray that my heart remains hardened to the lies of the world and remain strong when presented with potential contracts and jobs. That even if I am given a callback that I know who to talk to for the right reasons and not be lulled into their agency just because it sounds good. I am here to help change the face and values of the entertainment industry. To share God's word and love through my actions and job choices. To show the world that life is not led by the lies and temptations of this world, but that entertainment can still be enjoyable without all of those worldly ideas.
I was asked to make a list of my do's and don'ts of character choices. What types of roles am I willing to accept? What types of choices am I willing to partake in to keep the job or the role? What songs and lyrics am I willing to sing to my audience? Or places am I willing to perform in? I thought about these things and I know that I could sit here and list tons of things I will or won't do, but it basically comes down to this: If I feel that it compromises my beliefs and undermines the will of my Savior, I will not do it. I will ultimately pray about the situation and turn to the Bible for help with in the scriptures before agreeing to a contract or job.
So if you are ever faced with a choice, ask yourself if it will compromise what you know if your heart to be right. Follow the Lord with all thine heart and NEVER compromise just to get what you think might be right. Be it money, fame, fortune or otherwise just know that it will ALWAYS end in failure.

Let the countdown begin!
Only 10 days till I leave to head out to Orlando for my auditions. I am scared, nervous and excited all at the same time. I know that the Lord has great things planned for me, and I am doing my best to patiently await those plans. Prayers are still needed in all areas of this adventure. My schedule will be hectic and busy, with little down time in between. Please pray that I am able to get the sleep I need to do my best in each showcase. There are 7 showcases that I am in along with seminars and practices in between. I appreciate all your prayers!

Happy Father's Day!
"Children's children are the crown of old men, and the glory of children are their fathers." Proverbs 17:6
A happy father's day to Brandon who is beginning the journey of leaving a godly legacy for his children. You are always there for your boys and they love you without fail.
Also, to my father who has set a high precedent of what work ethic looks and feels like. Who has taught me the meaning of "that's life". Who loves his grandbabies (even though he swore he would not have anything to do with them until they were potty trained). A man full of great favor and love for life!
Brandon, my prayer for you is that you continue to look towards our heavenly Father to know the path that he wants you to follow as a father, husband and christian. To look to him as the best example of a father that you can be!
I love you!!!
